Vienna International Airport Panorama Restaurants Print
vie.jpgInitial situation and needs analysis
We developed a panorama restaurant concept together with Vienna International Airport. The objective was to create a food-service level that would satisfy a wide range of VIE guest needs and that would take advantage of the panoramic view of the airport grounds on the second floor of Terminal 2. We selected a combination of restaurant, cafeteria and Irish pub based on results of a target group and needs analysis.

Balloon Restaurant
thumb_balloon_wien_2Balloon is favored by business travelers and gourmets who value a fine ambiance, upmarket cuisine and excellent service even in the dynamic and fast-paced atmosphere of an airport. We offer our business lunch and dinner guests a relaxed flair set against the backdrop of airplanes taking off and landing coupled with tempting treats, an excellent wine selection and perfect service from our Balloon team. Our epicurean delights range from favorite Austrian specialties to exotic international dishes. Our specialty weeks and Sunday brunch ensure tasty variety.

Marketplace
thumb_marketplace_wienOur Marketplace self-service restaurant is located next to the Balloon Restaurant and is designed to meet the needs of guests in a hurry. The open concept features a diverse buffet. Guests can move freely between self-service stations and service counters for hot dishes. The cuisine includes fresh salads and delectable antipasti, crispy pizza and fresh sandwiches, and Austrian and Italian specialties. Soft drinks, tea, coffee and select alcoholic beverages round out the products on offer.

Dubliner
thumb_dublinerOur Irish pub “The Dubliner” serves beer and whiskey specialties from the Emerald Isle. It features a lunch buffet Monday through Friday afternoons to meet the needs of those working at Vienna International Airport, the crews and ground staff of domestic and international airlines. Lunch guests are treated to a variety of dishes including pasta and pizza, hot and spicy Asian fare, traditional Viennese dishes and other themed buffets. Typical Irish hospitality and our after-work baskets – delicious baskets filled with a variety of deep-fried appetizers, potato wedges or French fries with hot and mild dips – make The Dubliner one of the favorite late evening spots, which has been awarded 2005 "2 Krügerln" by Austrian beer expert Conrad Seidl.
