A further vital part of our quality philosophy is responsible handling of our environment’s resources as well as the extensive reduction of waste. We realize that the continual improvement of our environmental management is one of the most important tasks in the company – for us and for the coming generations. With environmental protection in mind, we are also committed to the “EcoBusinessPlan.”

The aim of this project is to set measures in the company that are relevant to the environment, which lead to a more efficient use of resources and to the reduction of environmental pollution, at the same time as bringing about cost savings: clean profits thanks to ecological business practices.

We have introduced an “environment team” to oversee the project’s successful implementation. This team is responsible for suggestions and improvement measures in energy and water consumption, the use of raw materials, waste volume, as well as primary heat and process heat. In this way, we have been able to identify savings potential, and we have achieved economic and ecological advantages by implementing jointly developed measures. We have also incorporated the EcoBusinessPlan guidelines in our quality management system, thus ensuring sustainability and taking a further step towards anchoring ecological business practices in our company.
